Jews 1985. Pier Marton
Witness and Legacy was designed as a commemorative exhibition to mark the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz.Conceived by the Minnesota Museum of American Art and curated by Stephen C. Feinstein, it was first exhibited in St. Paul in 1995.The exhibition traveled to a total of 17 museums and galleries through January 2002.
This exhibition contains work by artists who are survivors and refugees, second generation (children of Holocaust survivors) and empathizers.
