Opening Reception
The Opening Reception in Chicago was a highly successful event drawing some 200 guests. Several of the artists were on hand to meet and talk with visitors. The refreshments served showcased Armenian pastries generously supplied by Raffi and Tamara Demerdjian of Raffi’s on 5th, Naperville, Illinois. The exhibition presented painting, drawing, photography, 3-dimensional assemblage, sculpture, film and installation.

Out of a shared, sometimes difficult, even burdensome inheritance, the artists created a tapestry of experience that contributed positively towards intra-ethnic and cross-ethnic understanding. Armenians and non-Armenians alike found the exhibition not only handsomely beautiful, but deeply moving. It was a time of connectivity and celebration.
