    Saul Balagura - Face

    You haunted me
when I first gasped for air.
    You saw me grow,
    hidden in the shadows.
    You waited fifty years
    before you showed up
    all dressed in ether
    one afternoon
    when I was distracted
    watching the wind.

How many of you were there?
    How silent were you all
    standing first at the edge
    and later on
    laying at random
    with limbs all coiled ?

    You can rest now.
    I have finally seen you.
Now is my turn to not rest.
