Stennie Pratomo-Gret |
Stennie Pratomo-Gret was born on January 24, 1920, in Schiedam, Holland, In 1940, she joined the resistance movement, and worked on the illegal newspaper "De Waarheid." Stennie was arrested for her resistance activities and imprisoned in Rotterdam, In June 1943 she was taken to the Vught concentration camp. Stennie was deported from Vught to Ravensbrück on September 9,1944. In April 1945 she was rescued by the Swedish Red Cross and brought to Sweden.
Ravensbrück" (Women of Ravensbrück) committee, and became chairperson in 1975.
