The Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies (CHGS) depends on your support to maintain the diverse programming and student opportunities that have made us known regionally, nationally and internationally. Financial support from friends like you has made possible several acclaimed programs including:
- the upcoming exhibition Deadly Medicine: Creating the Master Race, a traveling exhibit from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, presented by CHGS and hosted by the Science Museum of Minnesota from February - May 2008
- teacher trunks about the Holocaust that are made avalable free-of-charge to schools across Minnesota
- guest speakers such as Henri Rousso, Richard Hovanissian, Deborah Dwork, and Eugen Schoenfeld
- conferences such as Norway, World War II, and the Holocaust in April 2007.
- art exhibitions, video productions, teacher training, and more.
Current funding sources simply maintain what we're able to do. Transformational gifts to the Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies can provide perpetual funding for special programs that will ensure our mission into the future and enable us to respond to new opportunities.
We have a number of funds that support initiatives at the Center.
Armenian Genocide Education Fund (#7386)
Supporting research, teaching, and distribution of materials about the Armenian Genocide of 1915.
Holocaust Lecture Series Fund (#3832)
Supporting lectures, conference speakers, and outreach into the Minnesota community about Holocaust memory and education.
CHGS General Fund (#4371)
Devoted to support for staff, scholarships and other activities of the Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies.
